Wedding Planning Timeline

Planning a wedding is a big undertaking, and the seemingly never-ending checklist of to-dos can quickly feel overwhelming. But it does not have to be—especially if you follow a structured fb timeline that allows you to prioritize tasks and stay on track. All of us asked top planners to share all their wedding-planning timelines with us, to get the most out of your planning knowledge.

Defining your wedding eyesight is the very first step in making a clear policy for taking your dream to our lives. Tessa Lyn Brand, president of wedding planning agency Tessa Lyn Occasions, says doze to 14 several weeks is the ideal diamond length for a wedding, when yours is short, make an effort to condense all the items that fall in months two through six in to the first month.

Head to and book your area, if you haven’t previously. Venues generally fill up by least a year beforehand, and so booking before can make sure your time frame exists.

Buy or order all of the wedding accents you need, which includes toasting flutes, cake computers, and unity candles. Shop for getting-ready outfits (dresses, tuxes) for yourself and your bridal party, if possible. Shop for products (optional) for your family and friends and your self.

Mail your last RSVP list to the caterer, and make sure all of the guest-related vendors have final count. Write your toasts with regards to the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception (and practice them if you want). Assemble welcome bags if you are providing these to out-of-town guests, if necessary. Have your last clothes or go well with fitting, and order all of the shoes and accessories you need to complete your ensemble.
